The Los Angeles Lakers secured a convincing 123-103 victory over the Toronto Raptors, thanks to LeBron James’ impressive performance, which included 19 points, a season-high 16 assists, and 10 rebounds. This marks his second straight triple-double and 115th of his career. Anthony Davis contributed 22 points before exiting the game with an eye injury in the third quarter, after being hit in the face by Jakob Poeltl’s off hand while blocking a dunk attempt.
The Lakers dominated from the start, jumping out to an early 12-point lead. Despite Davis’ absence, Los Angeles’s supporting cast stepped up, with Austin Reaves scoring 27 points. The Lakers’ bench outscored Toronto’s 55-25, with D’Angelo Russell chipping in with 24 points and 6 assists, and Jaxson Hayes adding 18 points off the bench.
The Raptors, led by Pascal Siakam’s 27 points and 7 rebounds, struggled to contain Los Angeles’s potent offense. Fred VanVleet added 22 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Lakers’ strong performance.
The Lakers’ victory marked their fourth win in six games, propelling them up the Western Conference standings, while the Raptors dropped to 2-9. LeBron James recorded his 13th triple-double since turning 37, a feat only six other players in NBA history have achieved at that age.
