Real Madrid thrashed Deportiva Minera 5-0 in the Copa del Rey contest, away from home.
Minera, who are debutants in the competition, met a tough task against the Spanish giants and the lost heavily.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side didn’t take long before they started displaying their dominance in the game.
Los Blancos opened the scoring early in the fifth minute, courtesy of Fede Valverde’s strike. The Uruguayan, who is known for his thumping strikes, sent home a volley after just 5 minutes.
Few minutes later, Madrid made it two as Eduardo Camavinga headed in an excellent cross from Fran Garcia.
Los Blancos continued the dominance as they added the third, still in the first half. This time, Turkish younster, Arda Guler, made it 3-0 in the 28th minute ended with a deflected strike.
Madrid kept on enjoying the cruise as veteran Luka Modric also got on the scoresheet. The Croatian put together some lovely interplay with Brahim Diaz, before curling a shot into the corner.
In the closing stages, Guler sealed the game for Ancelotti’s side, grabbing a brace from a second Fran Garcia assist.
Carlo Ancelotti rested few first-team players, as he gave right-back Lorenzo Aguado, and 17-year-old centre-back Diego Aguado, their debut.
Young striker, Endrick also started his first game since October, but was unable to get on the scoresheet. The Brazilian was denied several times by Minera goalkeeper, Fran Martinez.
