Amad Diallo turned things around within one minute and 55 seconds for Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United at the Etihad on Sunday, scoring and providing the penalty that Sunk City.

City started the game quickly, applying pressure on the visitors early on. They delivered some dangerous crosses, but none connected effectively. Due to injuries to Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji and Rico Lewis’s suspension, Matheus Nunes was put back into the starting lineup at left-back.

During a short stop for Mason Mount’s substitution, Pep Guardiola reminded his players to stay calm. City had their first shot on goal in the 20th minute when Doku jinked past Mazraoui. His cross found Foden, who volleyed just wide.

For United, Diallo found himself in good positions twice but was ruled offside on both occasions after a delayed flag. United’s defense was strong, but they struggled with corners, having conceded many goals this way this season.

Just before halftime, City scored from a corner. A short routine led to Kevin De Bruyne’s cross, which deflected to Gvardiol. He scored with a well-placed header. After the break, United won a free-kick after Rasmus Hojlund clashed with Kyle Walker, resulting in both players receiving yellow cards. City continued to threaten, with Foden nearly scoring but his shot was deflected and saved.

As time went on, United started to push forward and created a good chance when Fernandes broke the offside trap but missed the target, shooting wide. In the final moments, Diallo scored the winning goal from a tight angle, giving United all three points. City’s next match is against Aston Villa on Saturday, December 21, at 12:30 PM (UK time).
