Manchester United defender, Noussair Mazraoui, will be out of action for several weeks after undergoing a medical procedure.
The club has emphasized that the procedure is minor and precautionary, meant to address a common condition. This isn’t the first time Mazraoui has experienced heart issues. After contracting Covid during the 2022 World Cup, he was diagnosed with mild pericarditis.
It was a condition where the membrane surrounding the heart becomes inflamed. However, in this latest case, there was no immediate emergency.
United has not given an exact timeline for his return but expects him to be available within the coming weeks. Mazraoui, who recently withdrew from Morocco’s national squad, was signed by Manchester United from Bayern Munich during the summer for £12.5 million.
