Real Madrid claimed a 3-0 victory over Leganes, away from home to make it back-to-back victories in La Liga.

Goals from Kylian Mbappe, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham secured the win for Madrid at Butarque.

The visitors dominated the game from the beginning but had to wait until the 43rd minute to break the deadlock.

A selfish possession play from Adri Altimara costed the hosts as he was dispossessed by Bellingham. The ball was then gifted to Vinicius Junior, who squared for Mbappe to score his first goal in five matches.

Madrid made it 2-0 just beyond the hour mark, courtesy of a brilliant free-kick from Valverde. The Uruguayan, who was captain on the day, fired home a well-struck low free-kick for his fourth goal of the season.

Late on, Bellingham sealed the victory, as he headed home an effort that came off the crossbar, into an empty net.

The result placed Real Madrid into second place, above Atletico Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have also cut Barcelona’s lead to four points, having played a game less.
