A stunning solo goal from Englishman Jamie Gittens gave Dortmund the lead before Musiala struck late to earn a point for Bayern.

Dortmund, who are unbeaten at home this season, took a 27th-minute lead through Jamie Gittens’ superb solo effort.

Receiving the ball from Nico Schlotterbeck, the Englishman raced away from Konrad Laimer and smashed past Manuel Neuer.

The visitors then suffered another blow six minutes later when Harry Kane limped off injured.

The Bavarians tried fighting back but were unable until late on, as a result of spurned chances.

Thomas Muller, who replaced Kane was unable to convert with a good chance in each half.

Musiala and Leroy Sane both missed opportunities in the second half. However, in the 85th minute, an unmarked Musiala rose high to head in a cross from Michael Olise, earning Bayern a share of the spoils.

Vincent Kompany’s side are top of the league, with 30 points, seven clear of Eintracht Frankfurt, and ten ahead of Dortmund.
