Newcastle United secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Manchester United at St. James’ Park today. Thereby extending Manchester United’s winless streak to four matches in the Premier League.

The game started with Newcastle showing energy, and they found the back of the net early in the 2nd minute through Joelinton. He turned in a cross from Kieran Trippier. However, the goal was disallowed after a VAR review for offside.

They continued to press, and their efforts were rewarded in the 24th minute when Sandro Tonali struck a fantastic volley to give the home side a lead. Manchester United managed to level the score just before halftime. A brilliant counter-attack saw Alejandro Garnacho finish coolly to make it 1-1.

In the second half, Harvey Barnes capitalized on some poor Manchester United defending to restore Newcastle’s lead. Barnes then doubled his tally and extended Newcastle’s advantage in the 64th minute with a powerful strike, making it 3-1.

Newcastle added further gloss to their victory in the 77th minute. A mistake from Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir, who was deputizing for Andre Onana. He allowed Bruno Guimarães to roll the ball into an empty net, sealing an emphatic 4-1 win for the Magpies.
