Florida’s property purchase by Neymar ignites reunion rumours with Messi

Neymar has purchased land in Florida; this action has sparked speculation about a possible reunion with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami. The Wall Street Journal said he spent $26 million (£20 million) on a “piece of waterfront land.”

The purchase has led to rumours that he could join Messi at Inter Miami. His new land includes “approved plans for a 13,000-square-foot house.” A representative for Neymar shared that he chose the area for its “privacy and security” and said it was “exactly” what he wanted.

Messi already has former Barcelona teammates Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets with him at Inter Miami. Neymar, who played alongside Messi and Suarez as part of the iconic ‘MSN’ trio at Barcelona, has often been linked with a move to MLS as well.

He recently returned to playing for Al-Hilal after being sidelined by a knee injury. Since joining Al-Hilal from PSG in August 2023, he has made only six appearances.

With his contract ending this season, Neymar’s future is uncertain. Al-Hilal, meanwhile, are reportedly interested in Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr. as a possible replacement if Neymar departs.
