The Super Eagles squad list ahead of the September AFCON qualifiers has been announced by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

The announcement came a few hours after the NFF named the German Bruno Labbadia as the head coach of Nigeria. The 23-man squad player will be the tool for Labbadia to crush Nigeria’s opponents, Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The team will first face Benin at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, September 7, before traveling to Kigali to take on Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10th.

Labbadia’s selection includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards.

Notable inclusions are Orlando Pirates defender Olisah Ndah and former Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie.

Captain William Troost-Ekong, wingback Olaoluwa Aina, and forwards Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi have all returned to the Super Eagles squad after missing the last two games due to injuries.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will open camp at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, on Sunday, September 1, ahead of their 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The players are expected to report to camp in Uyo on Monday, September 2nd, as Nigeria aims to secure a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
