Nigerian international Moses Simon has extended his contract with French Ligue 1 side Nantes, until 2026.

The Super Eagles winger who joined the French club from Spanish side Levante Unión Deportiva back in 2019, is now set to continue his career with Nantes, after putting pen to paper on a 2-year contract extension earlier.

I am delighted to continue the adventure here and very happy to stay in Nantes! I am ready to continue fighting to help the team go as high as possible. What is certain is that This contract extension is a real proof of confidence in the Club, as well as in the team,” Moses Simon said.

Since making a switch to Ligue 1, the 28-year-old has netted 25 goals and contributed 27 assists in about 140 appearances.

Simon has also been instrumental for the Green and Yellows this season, contributing to eight goals (three goals and five assists) so far in the campaign.

With eight goals in about 58 caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Moses Simon, one of the stand-in captains has been included in Jose Peseiro’s 40-man provisional list ahead of the AFCON 2023 showdown in Ivory Coast.
