Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku has addressed whether he plans to return to his former club, Paris Saint-Germain.
Nkunku came through PSG’s youth academy and made his senior debut in 2015. Over four years, he played 78 games for the Ligue 1 side before moving to RB Leipzig in 2019.
In 2023, the French international made a much-anticipated move to Chelsea for £53m (€60m). However, his time at Stamford Bridge has been challenging. Nkunku’s debut season was marred by injury, limiting him to only 14 appearances.
This season, he is still fighting for a regular spot in the team, under new head coach Enzo Maresca. He has started just once in Chelsea’s seven Premier League matches.
When asked if he plans to move back to Paris and rejoin his former team, Nkunku told Telefoot, “PSG remains a big club, but there has not been one approach.”
Chelsea are preparing to face Liverpool in the Premier League this Sunday, a crucial match as the West London side looks to take on the league leaders at Anfield.
