Super Falcons’ number one goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has been crowned the best goalkeeper in the women’s category of the 2024 CAF Awards.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper edged Morocco/AS FAR’s Khadija Er-Rmichi, as well as South Africa/Mamelodi Sundowns’ Andile Dlamini, to win the award.
Nnadozie had an impressive season with her French side, Paris FC, which earned her the crown as the best keeper, for the second time in a row. She won the award as the best goalkeeper last year also.
Her outstanding achievement at both club and national team level has given her several awards for both club and country.
Nnadozie thanked the CAF and Nigerian Football Federation Presidents for their contribution to growing the women’s game in Africa.
“Last year I was here, and I am here again today and grateful to God. I want to say big thank you to the CAF President and Nigerian Football President for the work done for women’s football.”
“Also thank you to my club Paris FC, who have invested a lot in me. Also, to my coaches and teammates who all made this happen. Of course, to my family and friends who have supported me from day one”, Nnadozie said.
