Reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano states that Brentford is on the verge of signing South American sensation Gustavo Nunes. According to reports, the 18-year-old has traveled to London and will be tested at the club’s training facility.
Brentford started their Premier League campaign with a narrow 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last week. The Bees fell short of expectations last season as they finished 16th in the league standings with 39 points.
However, the West Londoners will aim for a comeback in 2024-25 and their supporters will have been encouraged by their impressive start. Although they’ve had a great summer transfer window thus far, they still want to add some fresh players before the deadline.
It is said the Premier League outfit will pay around £10 million fee for the Brazilian. Nunes is an academy product of Gremio who made his first-team debut in February against Sao Luiz.
He has struck seven goals and created four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for the Brazilian Serie A side. Nunes can play in a variety of attacking roles, but he mainly operates as a left winger.
