Official: Rodrygo Signs Contract Extension With Real

A few hours after announcing the contract renewal of Vinicius Jr., Real Madrid announced the contract extension of Rodrygo Goes until June 30, 2028.

The 22-year-old joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2019, a year after his compatriot Vinicius joined. The attacker however made his senior debut for the Spanish giants on September 25th (of the same year) where he scored his first goal for the club.

“Real Madrid C. F. and Rodrygo have agreed a contract extension for the player, who will remain at the club until 30 June 2028,” Real Madrid’s statement read.

Since joining the Galacticos, Rodrygo has notched up 179 appearances, scoring 39 goals, and helped the club in winning won 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 Uefa Super Cup, 2 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups, taking his trophy haul to 8.
