Arsenal to appoint Roberto Olabe as new sporting director

Under his leadership, Sociedad won the Copa del Rey in 2021, their first major trophy in over 30 years. Additionally, they qualified for the Champions League this season after a decade away.

According to Sky Germany, Olabe’s potential move could impact Arsenal’s transfer plans. He has a good relationship with Alexander Isak, the Newcastle striker who Arsenal may target this summer. Although Isak is under contract until 2028, Olabe’s influence might give Arsenal an edge in pursuing him.
