Osimhen assists again as Galatasaray wins Europa League opener

Victor Osimhen bagged his third assist for Galatasaray, in their 3-1 victory over Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki.

The Turkish champions got of to a winning start in the Europa League as the defeated PAOK at the Rams Park.

An own goal from Baba Rahman, goals from Yunus Akgun and Mauro Icardi gave Galatasaray the victory as they showed dominance over the Greek side.

Osimhen was once again on the starting eleven in his third game for the Turkish giant. Following his loan move from Napoli, he has started all three out of three games he featured, bagging an assist in each.

Although, he is yet to open his scoring account, the Nigeria international has been impressive for Galatasaray. He showed his impact on the game as he teed up Akgun to restore the lead for his team.

Galatasaray opened the scoring in the second half courtesy of Baba’s own goal. However, Giannis Konstantelias equalised for PAOK  to make it 1-1.

Akgun made it 2-1 before Osimhen’s replacement, Mauro Icardi sealed the victory in the fifth minute of added time.
