The Premier League has announced the shortlists for the Player and Manager of the Month awards for March. There are six players from five different clubs competing for the individual honor. Notably, none of these players have won the award yet this season, ensuring that this month’s winner will be a fresh face.

Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest)

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)

Declan Rice (Arsenal)

Jan Paul van Hecke (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Wolves had a challenging March due to the international break. However they managed to score three goals in their two matches. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde played a crucial role by assisting all three goals. The team drew 1-1 with Everton and then secured a 2-1 victory against Southampton. This has raised their hopes of avoiding relegation under manager Vitor Pereira.

Nottingham Forest stands out this month, as they feature two nominees. Winger Anthony Elanga scored twice in a 4-2 win against Ipswich Town. Alongside him, centre-back Nikola Milenkovic not only found the net in the same match but also had a stellar defensive performance that helped keep Manchester City at bay.

Manchester United had a strong month as well, finishing unbeaten. Bruno Fernandes was pivotal in this success, contributing directly to all the goals scored by the team. He netted two goals and provided two assists in a draw with Arsenal and a win against Leicester City. His performance has been key to United’s results throughout March.

In the match between Arsenal and Manchester United, Declan Rice scored his first goal of the year and made a vital defensive play to prevent a goal from Rasmus Hojlund. Prior to leaving for international duty, Rice showcased his skills by dominating a local derby against Chelsea, leading to a 1-0 victory.

This month, Brighton’s centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke made his mark in the Premier League. He played a key role in a tough draw against Manchester City and celebrated March by scoring his first Premier League goal in an exciting win over Fulham. His performance has made this month memorable for him.

Premier League has also confirmed nominees for March Player & Manager of the Month awards

Ruben Amorim (Manchester United)

Fabian Hurzeler (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest)

Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim received his first nomination for the Manager of the Month award. He has faced challenges adjusting to the Premier League, but March proved to be better as his team gathered four points from two matches, allowing them to finish the month having conceded only one goal.

Fabian Hurzeler, who won the Manager of the Month award back in August, is hoping to win it again after March showcased Brighton’s determination. The team fought hard for their victory over Fulham and managed to come back twice to earn a point against Manchester City. This resilience helped them finish the month in seventh place.

Nottingham Forest was the only team in the Premier League to achieve two wins in March. After a brief dip in form, manager Nuno Espirito Santo has his sights set on a Champions League spot, as his team has opened up a five-point lead over fourth-placed Chelsea. This strong performance has kept their hopes alive for a top-four finish.
