Raphinha’s scored his first career hat-trick as Barcelona defeated Real Valladolid 7-0 at the Estadi Olimpic.

Barcelona head to the first international break of the season topping the league with a 100% record, after securing a convincing victory against Valladolid.

The hosts started very brightly but were denied twice after Dani Olmo was flagged offside and hit the woodwork. However, Barca opened the scoring as Pau Cubarsi played in Raphinha who scored his first goal of the season.

Four minutes later, Robert Lewandowski scored Barca’s second, after receiving a pinpoint assist from Lamine Yamal. The Polish have now scored his fourth goal of the league campaign.

Before half time, Barcelona made it three as Jules Kounde picked out Raphinha’s corner and fired into the net.

Barcelona continued to run riot after the interval as Raphinha scored his second of the night. Eight minutes later, he scored another to secure his first hat-trick.

With 83 minutes on the clock, Olmo scored the sixth, marking his home debut with his second goal. Ferran Torres completed the emphatic display to make it 7-0 after been played in by Raphinha.

The result saw Hansi Flick became the first head coach of the club to win each of his first four league games in charge since 2017-18.

Lamine Yamal has had goal involvement in every games this season for Barcelona. He has been involved in 14 goals in 42 appearances in LaLiga (six goals and eight assists), surpassing Bojan Krkic’s (13 – 10 goals and three assists) as the youngest player with most goal involvement in the 21st century.

It also marked Barcelona’s biggest win in a LaLiga match since April 2016 against Deportivo La Coruna (0-8) and their biggest home win in the competition since March 2014 against Osasuna (7-0).

Barcelona move four points clear of second as they head to the first international break of the season.
