David Raya Injury Update 

With Arsenal, David Raya has had a fantastic start to the 2024–25 campaign. The goalie hurt himself during the 2-2 draw with Manchester City. Therefore he is unlikely to play against Leicester City this weekend.

Although David Raya’s injury prevented Jack Porter from playing, he created history in Arsenal’s 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Bolton Wanderers. Over the previous year, Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper has proven to be among Europe’s best. He is off to an amazing start in the 2024–25 campaign.

In addition to making one of the all-time Champions League double saves against Atalanta. He recently delivered a fantastic save to deny Ollie Watkins a goal. This earned him the Premier League’s Save of the Month title for August.

It makes sense that Raya’s injury concerns are causing Arsenal fans to worry. Since he is doubtful for Saturday’s matchup against newly promoted Leicester City.

When it came to Raya absence from the Carabao Cup third round matchup against League One Bolton, Mikel Arteta remained quiet. This confirms that the 29-year-old was out due to a “muscular injury” and that the team “don’t know” how serious the problem was.

Last weekend’s intense 2-2 tie with Manchester City resulted in Raya’s injury. The goalie was charged with using the sinister tactic of time-wasting throughout the game. But it seems that Raya had good reason to be concerned.

Raya’s exact muscle issue is still unknown. Arteta will probably give us an update on the goalie before Saturday’s Premier League match. To put it plainly, not even Arteta knows when he will play for Arsenal again.

Of course, if his muscular problem turns out not to be significant, the Gunners might welcome him back this weekend when they play Leicester. It is possible, though, that he may miss the Foxes game this weekend and possibly beyond.

Arsenal’s next matchups are against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday. Then Southampton and Bournemouth in the league after their match on Saturday.
