Today, the San Antonio Spurs revealed that forward Sandro Mamukelashvili has been re-signed. The contract’s specifics were kept a secret in accordance with team policy.
The Spurs first acquired Mamukelashvili, 6-10/240, on March 3, 2023. He averaged 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 23.3 minutes over the course of 19 games for the Silver and Black.
Mamukelashvili had a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks before joining the Spurs. He played in 24 games for the Bucks, averaging 9.0 minutes and 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds. He averaged 19.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 30.6 minutes over the course of 11 games with the Wisconsin Herd, a Bucks G League affiliate.
The Indiana Pacers selected the native of Tbilisi, Georgia, in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draught (54th overall), but traded him to Milwaukee on draught night. Mamukelashvili played for Seton Hall for four seasons before moving on to the NBA. In 104 games (68 starts), he averaged 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while playing 23.7 minutes per game.
