Real Betis have signed Manchester United winger Antony on loan for the remainder of the season.
Antony’s arrival is Betis’ first piece of business during the January transfer window
The Brazilian joined United from Ajax in 2022 in a reported £85.5million deal, but has struggled to live up to his heavy transfer price.
The ex-Ajax man started his Old Trafford career with three goals in three games, becoming the first United player to score in their first three consecutive Premier League encounters.
However, he would fail to continue that run of form, managing just 12 goals and five assists across his 96 appearances in all competitions.
Antony will be hoping to impress in LaLiga under former City boss, Manuel Pellegrini.
Betis will be covering the majority of Antony’s wages, but the deal does not include an option to buy.
Following the loan move, Man United manager, Ruben Amorim stated that he hopes Antony comes back to Old Trafford with renewed confidence.
