Real Madrid swept the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards which celebrated its fifteenth edition in Dubai.
The Spanish giants was named Club of the Year, having won five competitions in 2024. They won the La Liga, UEFA Champions League, Spanish and European Super Cups and the Intercontinental Cup.
Club president, Florentino Pérez, received the Best President award, with Carlo Ancelotti scooping the Best Coach. Thibaut Courtois, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius were also recognised.
Bellingham and Vinicius won in two different categories. Vinicius won the Best Forward and Best Men’s Player, while Bellingham won the Best Midfielder, and the Maradona Award.
Florentino Pérez, who was crowned the Best President of All Time, sent a message of thanks via video.
He said, “Since I became president of Real Madrid in 2000, I have always said that it is a great honor to be at the head of the most beloved and admired sporting institution in the world. And everything I have done is work to ensure that this club continues to be in the place it deserves due to its history and what it represents for millions of people around the world.
“I would also like to thank them for the award given to Real Madrid for what they have achieved in a year that has once again been historic and unforgettable for all Madrid fans. This year will be remembered for the fifteenth European Cup, a year in which our team has won five titles.
“This award is therefore also for our players, our coach and all those who are part of Real Madrid. And of course, for a fan base that already has more than 600 million followers on social media and is the best in the world. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you very much”, he added.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo was also present, as he won the best footballer in the Middle East.
Ronaldo also received an honorary award for Top Scorer of All Time.
