Parma secured a 1-0 home win over Juventus, as the Old Ladies missed the chance to return to top-four.

A first-half stoppage time goal from Mateo Pellegrino gave Christian Chivu’s side the victory at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The game started dull as Igor Tudor’s Juventus poised no threat to the relegation battlers in the first half.

However, the game bursted into life in stoppage-time, when Pellegrino met Emanuele Valeri’s looping cross to bury a header beyond Michele Di Gregorio.

The second interval strode on the same momentum as chances were limited, with both struggling to create any clear attempt.

Meanwhile, Juve pushed for an equaliser towards the end but Francisco Conceicao could only drill wide in stoppage time.

The Bianconeri went on to lose their first game under Igor Tudor, as Parma earned first league victory over Juventus in ten years. They last won the Old Ladies on April 11th, 2015, with the same scoreline.

The hosts have now moved to 15th, six points clear of the bottom three, with five games remaining. They are also unbeaten in six successive top-flight games, for the first time since 2014.
