Cristiano Ronaldo is tipped to emulate David Beckham’s post-retirement success thanks to his vast business empire & record-breaking YouTube channel.

Ronaldo’s business journey started long before he considered retiring from football. The Portuguese star has a diverse portfolio, including hospitality, fashion, and fitness.

His hotel chain, Pestana CR7, has received praise, while his CR7 brand, which includes clothing and a hair transplant clinic, has cemented his status as a fashion icon. Ronaldo has also launched gyms under his brand, expanding into the fitness industry.

Like Ronaldo, David Beckham successfully transitioned from football to business. Beckham owns Inter Miami in Major League Soccer and a stake in Salford City, showing his ongoing connection to the sport.

Inspired by Beckham, Ronaldo has expressed interest in owning a football club. “I don’t rule out becoming a club owner,” he said at an event in Madrid.

He also shared plans to grow his business ventures, saying, “I (will) work on my business… a new chapter that I’m excited for which will also be a challenge for me.” Former teammate Louis Saha believes Ronaldo can achieve Beckham’s level of success.

Speaking to BoyleSports, Saha said, “I think Cristiano Ronaldo will be as successful as David Beckham in retirement… you can see that in all the ventures he has. He can transform nutrition… everything he decides to do will be a success because he is a huge attraction.”

Ronaldo’s financial position strengthens his future prospects. According to Forbes, his net worth is around £200 million ($260 million) from football and endorsements. But when including his businesses, it rises to £424-500 million.

This wealth, combined with his ambition, ensures he will remain influential after retiring. For now, Ronaldo is focused on his football career. The 39-year-old will return to action on Friday as Portugal faces Poland in the Nations League. With five Ballon d’Or wins already, he continues chasing the milestone of 1,000 career goals.
