Ronaldo storms out of the stadium without medal as Al Hilal wins Super Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo furiously stormed out of the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium without collecting his silver medal.

Al Nassr lost 1-4 to Al-Hilal as their rival ran riot to win the Saudi Arabian Super Cup.

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo striking first, it wasn’t enough as Al Hilal bounced back, scoring four goals in the second half to thrash Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s goal came in the 43rd minutes following Abdulrahman Ghareeb’s cutback as it seems to be winning it for his team.

However, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic equalised as he sent a powerful finish into the roof of the net for 1-1.

Former Fulham striker, Aleksandar Mitrovic, scored twice in six minutes to turn the game around, taking it away from Al-Nassr.

Al-Hilal further sealed it as Malcom stole the ball from Al Nassr’s goalkeeper Bento, to tap into an unguarded net.

The Super Cup winner continued their dominance over Al Nassr, since losing the Arab Club Champions Cup last season, to win others.

They went unbeaten to claim the league last season with Al Nassr coming second, as they also won Al Nassr in the Kings Cup and eliminating them in the Asian Champions League.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly unimpressed as he was seen gesturing that his team-mates were asleep before storming out after the game without his medal.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had been hoping to win his second trophy with Al Nassr after last season’s triumph in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

However, Ronaldo and Co will hope to fight for more silverware as the 2024/25 Saudi Pro League campaign begins this week.

They will also be competing in the Kings Cup and the Asian Champions League.
