Rwanda defeated Nigeria 2-1, in the last game of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group D qualifiers.
The Cheetahs produced a resilient comeback, scoring two goals in four minutes to secure victory against the Super Eagles.
Samuel Chukwueze gave Nigeria the lead in the 59th minute, delighting the home crowd with a brilliant solo run.
However, Rwanda responded with an equaliser in the 72nd as Aimable Mutinzi drew level for the visitors.
Just three minutes later, Imanishimwe Nshuti completed the comeback, sealing a memorable win for Rwanda.
Meanwhile, Nigeria had already qualified for AFCON 2025 in Morocco, finishing top of the group with 11 points.
Coach Augustine Eguavoen also made seven changes to the team, with Nwabali and Lookman also missing the game.
Rwanda stays on 3rd, after finishing with 8 points alongside Benin Republic, but trailing by goal difference.
The Rwanda side will however be eyeing a spot in Morocco as they head to the qualifying playoff.
