Chelsea’s loan-to-buy transfer for Jadon Sancho from Manchester United is being praised as a great deal. After struggling at Manchester United, Sancho moved to Chelsea in August, and his performances have improved.
Former Liverpool player Glen Johnson said this transfer, which involves an initial loan and a £23 million ($29.2 million) buy option next summer, seems very favorable for Chelsea.
Johnson mentioned that £23 million is a low price for a player with Sancho’s talent. He noted that he is finally showing his potential and seems happy, which helps his performance. The coaching staff at Chelsea also deserves credit for helping unchanged players perform better.
Sancho had a tough time at United, where he was seen as a £73 million ($92.7 million) mistake. However, he is reviving his career at Chelsea, with two goals and five assists so far. Johnson believes it will help a lot if he can keep this up.
Sancho will look to continue his form when Chelsea plays against Brentford on Sunday, where they currently sit second in the Premier League standings.
