After a disappointing UEFA Champions League (UCL) week for Inter Milan and Napoli, both Italian giants will be looking to start the week on a brighter note when they face at the Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) stadium on Sunday.
Despite Inter’s 1-0 advantage over Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their UCL round of 16 clash, the Nerazzurri were ousted on penalties after playing 2-2 (aggregate score) at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday.
Napoli also suffered the same fate on Tuesday, as Francesco Calzona was handed his first defeat in charge of the Partonepie by Xavi Hernandez who guided Barcelona to a 4-2 aggregate win at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
Currently 16 points clear of AC Milan on the log, the Nerazzurri will be all means prioritise confirming their status as Scudetto Champions, having crashed out of the UCL and the Coppa Italia.
All indications point to Inter winning, looking at the fact that they came out victors in both of their meetings with Napoli this season—winning 1-0 in the Supercoppa Italiana final and 3-0 in the league.
Inter Milan (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Buchanan; Thuram, Lautaro.
Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Traorè; Politano, Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen.
