Juventus overturned a 2-0 deficit to grab a 2-2 draw against Cagliari in their Serie A Matchday 33 fixture at the Unipol Domus on Friday.
Cagliari kicked off the match with a flurry of attacking opportunities but failed to capitalise on their early dominance as Wojciech Szczęsny thwarted most of their attempts.
However, Claudio Ranieri’s side eventually got their deserved lead in the 30th minute via Gianluca Gaetano’s penalty.
Six minutes later, Yerry Mina extended the hosts’ lead from the spot yet again, after Zito Luvumbo was fouled by Szczęsny in the box.
About 16 minutes into the second half, Juventus clawed their way back into the game with Dušan Vlahović’s impressive free-kick, injecting hope for a comeback.
Despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession, the Massimiliano Allegri-tutored side consequently found it difficult to break down Cagliari’s resolute defence.
It wasn’t until the 87th minute when an own goal by Cagliari’s Alberto Dossena, inadvertently deflected a cross into his net, that Juventus managed to salvage a draw.
