Sevilla has officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Akor Adams from Montpellier.
Adams will join the Spanish side as their second winter signing following the arrival of Rubén Vargas.
The 24-year-old has signed a contract until 2029 and will wear the number 15 shirt for Sevilla.
Announcing his signing, the club released a statement, revealing that they paid €5.5 million for the striker’s transfer.
“Sevilla FC and Montpellier have reached an agreement for the incorporation of Akor Jerome Adams. Born in Benue State, Nigeria, on January 29, 2000, Adams is a central forward standing at 190 cm tall. He arrives in Sevilla after making 15 appearances for Montpellier in the current 2024/25 season, where he scored three goals and provided three assists,” the statement read.
Adams joined Montpellier in 2023 from Norwegian club Lillestrom. He went on to feature in 33 matches for the French side, netting ten goals and registering two assists.
The Nigerian will be joining fellow compatriots, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke in Sevilla.
