Ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Nottingham Forest this weekend, the club’s manager Erik Ten Hag gave a detailed overview of the availability of his key players.

Ten Hag spoke extensively about the injuries to Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, whilst giving a positive report on Rasmus Hojlund, who hasn’t played for the club yet ever since he joined from Atalanta.

Starting with Hojlund, the Dutchman said: “Today, for the first time, he came into team training.

“Next week we expect him to do a full week with all the team trainings. So he’s very near to making the squad.”

He also continued on the severity of Mount & Shaw’s injury, saying: “For some period, they will be absent. Luke will be [out] longer than Mason.”

Ten Hag however allayed fears over the injuries concern, assuring that there’s solution in place to curb the setbacks.

“Definitely we have solutions in our squad to cope with that. We thought before the season about this scenario, and what could happen. You hope to avoid this scenario, that’s also clear, but if it happens, you have to be ready for it. And we are ready to deal with it,” the 53-year-old said.
