2. Barbora Krejcikova Vs Iga Swiatek – Dubai Open Final 23rd February 2023
Barbora Krejcikova made three upset victories to clinch her first WTA 1000 title but defeating Iga Swiatek was more of a talking point for the Czech player.
Although Krejcikova’s skill is well known, she entered the competition looking to return to her Top 10 form. She hadn’t defeated a player ranked in the top ten in over a year.
However, the streak was broken in the second round by the 2021 French Open winner, who defeated Daria Kasatkina after saving match points. Then, in the quarterfinals, she ended No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka’s 13-match winning streak, defeated No. 3 Jessica Pegula, and finished the season with a personal best performance of 6-4, 6-2 masterclass over No. 1 Iga Swiatek, who had just finished an incredible run in Doha to moved up to third place on the tour.

And with a score of 6-4, 7-6(6), world No. 1 Novak Djokovic was defeated by then-unranked Dusan Lajovic in an incredible quarterfinal match at the Srpska Open in Banja Luka.
Lajovic win was the Serb’s first-ever over a world top player looking at his past record with former countryman Djokovic.

4. Fabian Marozsan Vs Carlos Alcaraz – Italian Open Round of 32, 15th May, 2023.

Daniil Medvedev, world No.3 was defeated by 172-ranked Thiago Seyboth Wild in an incredible opening-round encounter at the French Open, setting up a career-defining triumph. With scores of 7-6(5), 6-7(6), 2-6, 6-3, and 6-4, Seyboth Wild won. Seyboth Wild showed amazing resolution and a well-defined strategy, which he executed well, even though this was his first five-set match and his first time competing at the French Open.
6.Daniel Altmaier vs. Jannik Sinner – French Open Round One 1st June, 2023.

American Christopher Eubanks, ranked 43rd in the Tennis’ ATP Tour rankings, stunned fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in a thrilling fourth-round match at Wimbledon 2023. Eubanks defeated Tsitsipas in a thrilling match that ended in 3-6, 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 to book his place in his maiden major quarterfinal.
With 13 aces and the ability to fend off eight of 13 breakpoints, Eubanks dramatically raised his game. His ability to seize opportunities proved crucial in swinging the match in his favor, particularly in the later sets.
This featured crucial breakpoint conversions in the final, which he won with strong backhand winners down the line.
9.Gabriel Diallo Vs Daniel Evans – Canada Open 8th August, 2023.
Then 21-year-old Gabriel Diallo of Canada stormed to his maiden ATP Tour victory on home soil in the opening round of the Toronto Open by defeating one of the game’s most in-form players, Daniel Evans, who had won the Washington title two days before with a run of ten straight sets. The Canadian took a close first set, then in the second he led by breaking the other player three times. Despite Evans tying the score at 5-5 after 3-5 due to a double fault, Diallo recovered to win the following two games, finishing with a 7-6(4), 7-5 final score to reach the second round.
10. Roman Safiullin vs. Carlos Alcaraz – Paris Masters 1at November, 2023.
In the second round of the Paris Masters, Roman Safiullin, ranked No. 45, upset Carlos Alcaraz, ranked No. 2, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 to force the Spanish Star to his first 2023 opening-round loss.
Meanwhile, Safiullin’s triumph was characterized as a result of his ability to overcome an early deficit in both sets which was evident particularly in light of his performances at Wimbledon and the Chengdu final. Alcaraz acknowledged the need for improvement, particularly in his movement on the court, despite his foot and back issues.

2023 got even better for the six-time WTA singles champions as she went on following her Western & Southern Open success to lifting her first Grand Slam title at the US Open.

Jannik Sinner stole the headlines for men’s tennis in 2023.

He also had the most wins of any tennis male in 2023 with 61 wins, clinching the honor for the most improved player in tennis this year.
Jannik Sinner a world No.4 started the season poorly but bounced back towards the end as he went on to win three titles simultaneously. Firstly, Jannik won the Austria Open in Vienna and triumph at the Beijing Open in China, the ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto, the Title in Montpellier France. However, he was knocked out at the finals of the ATP Finals where he was beaten by World’s No.1 Novak Djokovic.
Jannik Sinner then capped off the year by leading his country to their first Davis Cup title since 1976 after he and his teammates defeated Novak Djokovic’s Serbia in the final.
