The New Orleans Pelicans are set to make history by playing the first-ever NBA games in Australia. They’ll be facing off against two National Basketball League (NBL) teams, Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix, in Melbourne on October 3 and 5, 2025.
These preseason games will be part of the Melbourne Series, with the NBL serving as the official promoter and organizer. The event will also include NBA Cares community outreach initiatives, lifestyle events, and a Fan Night on October 4.
The Pelicans’ roster features notable players like two-time NBA All-Star Zion Williamson, 2022 NBA All-Star Dejounte Murray, and 2015-16 Kia NBA Most Improved Player CJ McCollum. Tickets for the games will go on sale at a later date, but fans can register their interest now to gain access to presale information.
