Bayern Munich ex-president and current board member Uli Hoeness is confident that the German champions will be able to broker a deal that’ll see Harry Kane complete a switch to the Allianz Arena this summer.

Currently in an active search for a potent striker, Bayern has allegedly had two offers for the 29-year-old turned down but are now preparing a fresh bid and are growing in confidence when it comes to securing his signature.

However, there still needs to be some clarity over Spurs’ asking price for Kane, but it seems Bayern feel they have a serious chance of getting this deal done, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking to journalists yesterday, Hoeness said: “He [Kane] signalled very clearly that his decision was made. And if it stays that way, we’ll get him,” Hoeness told Abendzeitung. “Levy is clever. First, we have to get him to name a price.

“He plays for time, and is a great professional. I appreciate him very much. But on the other side [at Bayern] there aren’t any people who have been doing this since yesterday.

“He wants to play internationally [in Europe]. Tottenham won’t be there next season, unlike our club. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe.

“What we really like about Kane is that his advisors, that is his father and his brother, are very pleasant. So far they have always stood by what they have promised. And if it stays that way, then that’s okay.”

As things stand, Kane has travelled with Spurs on their Asia-Pacific tour, and it’s understood that the Three Lions captain will not force a move away from the North London club this summer.
