Transfer: Mourinho Wants Greenwood At Roma 

According to reports, AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reached out to unsettled Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, in a bid to lure him to the Seria A.

The former United boss has reportedly reached out to Greenwood’s camp, as he’s looking to convince the 21-year-old of a fresh start in Italy.

Recall that Mason Greenwood hasn’t played for the Red Devils since January 2022 after being charged with rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

Those charges were dropped in February but Greenwood has remained under suspension by United who have been conducting their own investigation into his conduct.

With his fate at the club yet to be decided, there are rumours that Greenwood isn’t convinced he’ll be given a shot back at playing at Old Trafford despite Erik Ten Hag and several of his teammates’ support.

An anonymous source told The Sun: “Jose rang Mason’s dad and also spoke with Mason. He told him the best way out of his current situation is to start playing football — and that eventually all the hassle will fade away.

“Mason was pleased that he got in touch and it has lifted his spirits.

“He wants to get back playing and is just waiting for United to tell him what the future holds.”
