Ex-Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri says he has been approached by about four clubs in the English Premier League (EPL) and the Spanish La Liga.
Due to the tense atmosphere and lack of support from Lazio’s players, Sarri resigned from his position as the club’s headcoach in March and has since been without a club.
However, the Italian confirms that he has had offers from Spain and England, but he’s taking his time to settle with the project that attracts him.
“I am open to all projects that attract me,” Sarri told reporters on Monday, as quoted by Gazzetta.
“For now, the only four clubs that approached me come from abroad, specifically from the Premier League and La Liga. It depends on the opportunities and which mid-long-term project attracts me.”
Sarri also revealed that he turned Florentina’s approach, and he’s not necessarily bent on signing for a club that qualified for the Champions League.
“They [Fiorentina] called me in the past, but never over the last few sessions,” he admitted.
“The only way to work for Fiorentina would be to ring at Viola Park and see if somebody opens the gates.
“I am available for all projects that intrigue me and I don’t need the Champions League at all costs,” Sarri said.
