Kieran Trippier wants to leave Newcastle United before the transfer window closes and is exploring options. According to David Ornstein, the England’s defender has been having an unworkable relationship with coach Eddie Howe since the start of the season.

He has targeted Everton as a potential new club, where manager Sean Dyche, his former boss at Burnley, wants to sign him on loan to strengthen the right-back position.

The defender, who joined Newcastle in January 2022 as the first signing under the new ownership, has driven the team’s success. However, he chose not to play in the recent win over Southampton, allowing Tino Livramento to start at right-back instead. Trippier also handed the captain’s armband to Bruno Guimaraes.

With two years remaining on his contract, the 33-year-old Trippier is actively seeking new opportunities that guarantee regular first-team football. Everton’s manager Sean Dyche, who previously worked with Trippier at Burnley, is pursuing a loan deal to bolster his team’s right-back position.

Newcastle has, however, already rejected a bid from Bayern Munich in January and is discussing a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, but no agreement has been reached yet.
