Stefanos Tsitsipas earned his 350th tour-level win on Wednesday at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, where he overcame Karen Khachanov 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals.

The No. 11 in the ATP Rankings has fond memories in Dubai, having reached finals in 2019 and 2020. Competing at the ATP 500 for the first time in five years, Tsitsipas beat Lorenzo Sonego in the first round and then dug deep against Khachanov to improve his standout Lexus ATP Head2Head record against the 28-year-old to 9-1.

Tsitsipas is chasing his first title since he triumphed in Monte-Carlo last April and first on hard courts since Los Cabos in 2023. In a positive display against Khachanov, the fourth seed won 80 per cent (49/61) of his first-serve points and was the more aggressive in the third set to clinch victory after two hours and 29 minutes.

Tsitsipas captured his maiden tour-level win at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai in 2017. His opponent that day was Khachanov. The 26-year-old has since lifted 11 tour-level trophies, including the Nitto ATP Finals crown in 2019. He is the 13th active player to earn 350 tour-level wins.
