Chelsea dismissed Thomas Tuchel during the early months of BlueCo’s ownership after several disagreements and a poor start to the 2022-23 season.
Despite his sudden exit, Chelsea are suddenly ready to show appreciation for his past contributions, especially the 2021 Champions League win, according to The Telegraph.
Chelsea’s American owners are reportedly proud of players representing their national teams. They support Tuchel’s bid to lead England in the 2026 World Cup and are willing to assist him in any way possible.
This cooperation could benefit Chelsea players like Cole Palmer, who will aim for regular England call-ups under Tuchel.
Additionally, Premier League clubs now reserve a seat for the England manager at their stadium, and Tuchel is expected to enjoy this benefit.
He has already added former Chelsea assistant Anthony Barry to his staff and is interested in recruiting more familiar Chelsea faces for his England team.
Tuchel also wants to bring Henrique Hilario, Chelsea’s current goalkeeping coach, to his England setup. However, Chelsea will only allow Hilario to join if he leaves the club entirely.
Meanwhile, James Melbourne, Chelsea’s former head of performance analysis, has already left the club and may reunite with Tuchel. Interim manager Lee Carsley will continue to lead England for the Nations League matches next month before Tuchel takes over in the new year
