Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola stated that USMNT captain Tyler Adams would miss Saturday’s match due to a fresh injury. According to the Cherries manager, Adams woke on Saturday with back spasms after suffering from them over the previous week. He did not go with the team to Kenilworth Road where Bournemouth lost 2-1 to the relegation-threatened Hatters.
Iraola said: “We have been through some illness situations and Tyler woke up two days ago with back spasms and he wasn’t available,it is nothing related to the hamstring, but he was nota available for the game.”
Adams has missed the majority of the season for both club and country, sitting out in all asides one game from the start of the 2023-24 season until March due to a hamstring injury. He made his Premier League debut just six days ago, claiming Man of the Match in a stunning 2-1 win over Everton.
His match-day heat map went viral on social media, but the Cherries may be without him for a prolonged length of time. Iraola could not disclose the severity of Adams’ spasms, but this was the second consecutive match he has missed since his remarkable effort against the Toffees.
On Saturday, April 13, Bournemouth will face Manchester United in the Premier League. With only seven matches remaining in the season, t is not known how long he will be sidelined.
