AS Roma defeated Porto 3-2 in the second-leg of the UEFA Europa League, as Paulo Dybala scored a brace.
The Italian side clinched a 4-3 aggregate win, that takes the Giallorossi into the last 16.
Having played a 1-1 draw in the first leg, both teams were hoping to claim the victory in the return fixture.
The Portuguese side took the lead through Samu Aghehowa’s sensational overhead kick.
However, Dybala scored twice in the space of five minutes before half-time to put the Serie A side in control of the tie.
Meanwhile, Porto had a setback as they were reduced to 10 men, with Stephen Eustaquio being sent off. The Portuguese giants also missed a chance level the game as Samu hit the post on the counter-attack.
Howbeit, Claudio Ranieri’s Roma secured their progression, as Niccolo Pisilli made it 3-1 in the 83rd minute.
Porto tried to get back in the game but Devyne Rensch’s late own goal wasn’t enough for the Portuguese side.
