Porto and AS Roma played a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Europa League play off.
Goals from Zeki Celik and Francisco Moura gave both sides the lifeline to take the decider to the second leg in Rome.
The visitors lost Paulo Dybala to injury in the first half at Estadio do Dragao. However, they led at the break when Alexis Saelemaekers’ cross deflected into the path of Celik, who drilled home.
Porto equalised in the second half courtesy of Moura’s strike. The Porto man slammed in the leveller following a swift breakaway against the run of play.
Roma had to hold on with 10 men when Bryan Cristante pulled down Fabio Vieira to earn a second yellow card.
Both side will face off next week in Rome to decide who qualifies for the UEL round of 16.
