Manchester United will play against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford.

Recently, United lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup, which means their focus has shifted to the Europa League and FA Cup. In that match, United lost 4-3 in a highly entertaining game that was tough on goalkeepers.

In their last Premier League match, United achieved a thrilling win against Manchester City. However, under the guidance of Ruben Amorim, they are currently standing at 13th place in the league table. Thankfully, there is only a three-point gap between them and Bournemouth, who are in sixth place.

Bournemouth managed a significant victory at Old Trafford last season and have surprised many this year by defeating teams like Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham. Coach Andoni Iraola has sparked hopes of European football among fans.

The match will kick off at 14:00 GMT (09:00 ET / 06:00 PT) on December 22 at Old Trafford in Manchester. Craig Pawson will be the referee, with Darren England as the VAR.

Amorim has mentioned that Marcus Rashford might return to the squad after being absent from the recent matches, including the Manchester Derby and the loss to Tottenham. Alejandro Garnacho played in midweek but is expected to start on the bench.

Unfortunately, Mason Mount will be out for several weeks due to injury, and he will join Luke Shaw on the sidelines. Victor Lindelof also got injured against Spurs and is unlikely to play on Sunday.

The predicted lineup for Man Utd against Bournemouth: Onana; De Ligt, Maguire, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Amad, Fernandes, Zirkzee.

On the other hand, Bournemouth’s players Evanilson suffered injuries in their last match and might need a rest on Sunday since Enes Unal came off the bench to score a stunning goal recently.

Bournemouth is still missing Alex Scott and Luis Sinisterra, but they may return by the end of the year. Marcus Tavernier is a new injury concern that will hurt the team. Additionally, Julian Araujo and Marcos Senesi are out for a while.

The predicted lineup for Bournemouth: Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Adams, Christie; Semenyo, Kluivert, Ouattara; Unal.
