Finally, Luke Shaw has returned to Manchester United’s first-team training after spending weeks on the sidelines due to injury.
Shaw picked up a muscle injury back in August, after featuring in United’s opening games of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur, which prompted the club to sign Sergio Regullion on a short-term basis.
The club’s statement reads: “Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of the return to Premier League action, with Luke Shaw returning to training.
“Our cameras at Carrington have captured images of the left-back working with the main group, in advance of Sunday’s game at Everton (16:30 GMT kick-off.”
There hasn’t been any confirmation on how he’ll be eased into action, but the England international is expected to feature either against Everton on Sunday or Galatasaray, in the must-win Champions League clash for the Mancunian Giants.
