Real Madrid star, Vinicius Jr. has been crowned the Best Men’s Player at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards.

The Brazilian forward also claimed the Best Forward accolade, marking the culmination of an impressive year.

Clinching the prestigious award, Vinícius made it two individual global award in 2024. Having lost the Ballon d’Or to Rodri, the Brazilian went on to win the FIFA Best Men’s Player of the Year and the Globe Soccer Awards’ Best Men’s Player.

Vinícius was influential for Real Madrid as they won the La Liga and UEFA Champions League in 2024.

Expressing his gratitude, the Brazilian said, “I am very happy to receive this award alongside many great players. It has taken me a lot of work to get here and I thank everyone who has been by my side. I represent many children who grew up playing on the street and it has helped me a lot to get to where I am today.”

He also went on to praise Cristiano Ronaldo, who stated that Vinícius deserved to have won the Ballon d’Or.

“My idol is Cristiano. It is an honor to have heard those words. If Cristiano says it, I believe it. Many thanks to my teammates, family, Flamengo, the Brazilian national team, Real Madrid. I wish you a happy 2025”, Vinicius added.

Meanwhile, fellow teammate, Jude Bellingham also secured dual honours by winning both the Best Midfielder award and the Maradona Award.
