It took Juventus less than four minutes to take the lead, as Dušan Vlahović leveraged Andrea Cambiaso’s perfect pass to put the Massimiliano Allegri-led side ahead.
Atalanta responded via Mario Pašalić and Charles de Ketelaere before the half-hour mark, but neither of the players got their efforts past Juve’s goalkeeper.
The Gian Piero Gasperini-tutored side continued to mount pressure for an equaliser, but it was Juventus who scored again, via Vlahović’s glancing header, a few minutes into the second half.
Although the goal was scrapped for offside, La Dea were quite unlucky in front of goal, as Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman saw his effort hit the woodwork.
As predicted by Francisco Totti before kickoff, it was quite an evenly matched clash, but Juventus did well to protect their early lead and win their 15tt Coppa Italia trophy—the most by any club.

Atalanta will be eyeing redemption when they face Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) final on May 22 in Dublin, but the Italian side have a tough mountain to overcome, as their German opponent is yet to taste defeat this season.
