Dennis Schröder is indeed heading to the Golden State Warriors in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets. The Warriors will be sending De’Anthony Melton and three second-round picks to Brooklyn in exchange for Schröder and a second-round pick.
Schröder, a 31-year-old point guard, has been having a fantastic season with the Nets, averaging 18.4 points and 6.6 assists per game. He’s expected to bring a much-needed scoring punch to the Warriors’ backcourt.
The trade is seen as a win-now move for the Warriors, who are looking to bolster their playoff hopes. As for the Nets, they’re seemingly shifting their focus to the future, stockpiling draft picks and creating opportunities for their younger players.
